The Bluffs On Thompson Creek - Golf OnlyP.O. BOX 1220 ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA 70775
Designed for championship play from Grey tees (over 7,100 yards), the Palmer course at The Bluffs has hosted numerous Louisiana State Championships, the Southeastern Conference Golf Championship, United States Senior Challenge, and several other prestigious events since its opening in 1988. The flexible design makes the course equally enjoyable and challenging for average golfers from its other three sets of tees. Our lady Members particularly enjoy the Pink tees, which allow them sufficient advantage to play similar shots with similar clubs as the men on nearly every hole.
An 18-hole round at The Bluffs is a nature walk through all the diverse settings of the Feliciana countryside, starting and finishing atop the high bluffs along Thompson Creek, playing to a green located adjacent to a white, sand beach, traversing thick forests of mature hardwoods and pines, and attempting a variety of challenging shots over hills, off bluffs, and into hollows. The young course already exudes an atmosphere of great maturity, due to its natural contours and the huge trees that line its fairways. The views experienced from the golf course are dramatic and unusual for South Louisiana, with elevation changes as great as 50 ft. on a single golf shot. The breathtaking beauty of Palmer's design makes a round of golf at The Bluffs as much a visual pleasure as a shotmaking challenge.
